Eunique Jones Gibson

Content Producer, Activist, Creator of "Because of Them, We Can" Campaign

An Artist and Cultural Architect, Eunique Jones Gibson uses her work with photography and digital marketing to build community through culturally conscious media.

In February 2012, following the death of Trayvon Martin, Eunique created her first photo awareness campaign - I AM Trayvon Martin. The campaign spread through social media and online news outlets around the world and inspired others to use their voice to highlight social injustice and the need for change.

In 2013, Eunique launched the Because of Them, We Can™ campaign during Black History Month with a mission to empower the next generation to honor the legacy of their ancestors through their own individual pursuit of greatness. The campaign featured photographs of adorable children channeling leaders, activists, and celebrities, past and present. Because of Them, We Can™ quickly went viral and grew into something bigger than the twenty-eight day tribute she originally planned. It is now considered one of the most prolific and virally successful Black History campaigns of all time. It has been featured on the websites of The Huffington Post, BuzzFeed, RollingOut, The Washington Post, and Essence.com, among many other print and Internet publications. In order to continue her efforts to contemporize Black History, Eunique left her job as an online marketing and social media manager to dedicate herself to the Because of Them, We Can™ movement on a full-time basis.

Eunique now spends her days following her entrepreneurial spirit using her talents to build the self-esteem of others while encouraging them to pursue their dreams. She’s an oft-sought after speaker whose work has earned her recognition as one of Washington D.C.’s “Top 30 under 30,” and in 2013 BET named her a Black Person on the Brink of Greatness. By the end of 2013 Eunique’s efforts were validated with an invitation to the White House and a post to the Arts Advisory Board under the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African Americans.

As a wife, mother and proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., Eunique understands that service begins at home. She enjoys investing the love, quality time and positive affirmations necessary to empower her biggest fans and supporters, her husband Christopher and their two sons, Chase and Amari.

Gibson is available in partnership with Collective Speakers.
