The film, which focuses on the plight of the estimated 500,000 child farm workers who feed America, was released in July 2011.

Longoria holds several of her own charities and organizations close to her heart. She has been the national spokesperson for PADRES Contra El Cáncer (Parents Against Cancer) and served as honorary chair for "Rally for Cancer." Longoria also works with the Special Olympics and founded the nonprofit organization Eva's Heroes, which provides an after-school program with an inclusive setting for individuals with developmental disabilities to interact, play, and grow with their typically developing peers.

She is also involved with the Entertainment Industry Foundation/Callaway Golf Foundation, where she continues to raise awareness of ovarian cancer.
