Fabian Hemmert is a design researcher whose research focuses on the body's role in our interactions with mobile devices. Hemmert is also a Professor of Interface and User Experience Design at the University of Wuppertal.

Previously, Hemmert was a deputy professor for Interface Design at the Muthesius Kunsthochschule in Kiel, Germany.

He has also worked at the Design Research Lab and Telekom Innovation Labs. His experiences in industry include time at Nintendo of Europe and Marvel.

Hemmert received his Ph.D. from the Berlin University of the Arts. As well, he has a Master of Arts in Design from Potsdam University of Applied Sciences and a Bachelors of Science in Media and Computer Science from Universiy of Bielefeld.
