Fei Xiang, a Chinese American pop icon, has made notable strides in Mandapop and English language music theater. During the 1980s, he became one of the most popular music stars in China. His achievements include winning the Best New Artist of the year award and releasing several successful albums with hit singles in Taiwan and Southeast Asia. Notably, Xiang became the first pop singer from Taiwan to perform in Mainland China, and his album "A Voice on the Ocean" sold over 20 million copies in this region.

In addition to his pop music career, Xiang has also had a successful stint in musical theatre. His Broadway credentials include performances in acclaimed shows such as "Miss Saigon" and "Nick and Nora". Xiang also took on the role of Emcee in the musical "Cabaret" in Singapore.
