Flynn Cochran    

Former U.S. Navy SEAL Officer & Leadership Instructor

Flynn Cochran is a former U.S. Navy SEAL Officer, McKinsey & Company Engagement Manager, and graduate of Harvard Business School. Flynn spent eight years in the Navy, six of them in the SEAL Teams. He served as an Assistant Platoon Commander and Platoon Commander at SEAL Team ONE and deployed three times to combat zones in support of the Global War on Terror. Flynn learned the leadership lessons that Jocko Willink and Leif Babin wrote about in Extreme Ownership firsthand, when Leif was his leadership instructor and Executive Officer at SEAL Team ONE.

After leaving the Navy, he attended Harvard Business School and then took a position with McKinsey & Company to further his understanding of business challenges and to develop expertise in problem solving. During his 3+ years at McKinsey, Flynn served several major technology companies in large-scale transformations, redefining go-to-market strategies, and applying agile organization principles to enhance their leadership and management systems.

Flynn serves as the Chief Strategy Officer for Echelon Front, as well as leadership instructor, speaker and strategic advisor. Flynn’s efforts with longterm clients have led to the creation of dozens of solutions to solve their most difficult leadership challenges. He leads clients to find innovative, sustainable ways to connect Extreme Ownership leadership principles to their organization’s people and talent management processes and systems. His efforts have assisted clients in becoming the preeminent leadership development organization in the industries they compete in.
