He was born in Nigeria to parents who worked in the foreign service. They lived in Washington DC, London, and Tanzania. His father was involved in the Nigeria/Biafra Civil War so for safety they fled Africa and settled in Connecticut. He received a bachelor’s in urban planning from The University of Connecticut and worked in Architecture for several years until he decided to pursue a master’s degree in television and film management from Emerson College in Boston, MA.

When not working, you can find Francis on the soccer field. He’s been coaching children for more than 20 years ranging in age from 4-20. He started a program in his town for 3,4 and 5 years. He says, “there is nothing more fun than corralling 75 little munchkins to dribble a ball around cones.”
