François Taddei  

Director of The Center for Research & Interdisciplinarity (CRI)

François Taddei is the founder and director of the CRI and the current director of the FdV PhD program. François Taddei is a researcher in evolutionary systems biology that received awards such as the Inserm award for fundamental research, the Bettencourt award for Life sciences and the European Young Investigator award.

He has created bachelor, master & PhD programs in the Center for Research and Interdisciplinary in Paris in order to empower the new generations of change makers by training them through research at the frontiers of disciplines. He has taken the lead of the Institute for Learning Through Research that has been selected in March 2012 by the International Scientific Committee of the National Innovative Training Program (IDEFI) of the French ministry of research. As an expert on the future of research and education, he participates in various working groups and reports on the future of research and education for the french government or for OECD, & EU. He holds the UNESCO USPC Chair “Learning sciences”.

A mission to redesign the future of R&D for Lifelong learning was entrusted to François Taddei by French Minister of Education, Higher Education & Research leading to a report on the learning society published in April 2017. In 2018, he submitted to the Ministers of Labour, National Education, Higher Education, Research and Innovation, a report on the learning society and he published through Calmann Lévy a book entitled ‘Apprendre au 21e siècle’. (Learning in the 21st century)
