Frankie Tavares burst onto the modeling scene when she entered a model search for Monif C. and won, which led to her being featured in the 2015 swimwear campaign for the popular designer. That propelled Tavares’ career to her becoming a sought after model, having since been featured in major campaigns for Fashion to Figure, Free Country Apparel, Poshmark and designer Byron Lars.
Tavares being a racially ambiguous model can easily transform in to any designers vision has broken barriers in a short time span on the modeling scene.
She’s an industry triple threat, having used her modeling platform to also become a successful style influencer and blogger. Having amassed a huge following on social media where she now has over 111K followers on Instagram alone, she has now become an entrepreneur with the launch of her brand Curvy ALLSTARS!
On the influencing front, she has worked with major brands such as JCPenney, Fame and Partners, Forever21, Macy’s, Stitch Fix, Swimsuits For All, Eleven 60, Rue 107 and more.
Her work also includes television and film such as a Poshmark national commercial in 2018 and modeling for The Harry Show in 2017. She has also walked the runway at New York Fashion Week (NYFW), Full Figured Fashion Week, FIT presents the Business of Curves, the JCPenney runway show during NYFW and Miami Curves Week.
She graced the cover of BTFL Magazine and has been featured in the pages of PLUS Model Magazine, FabUPlus and Skorch Magazine.
Tavares is a prime example of someone who has the passion and drive to accomplish major things in the fashion industry while maintaining her integrity and being an advocate for teamwork and community. She plans to continue to expand her brands internationally into 2019 while continuing to still model, blog and be a style influencer.
