Gabriela Isler
Founder and CEO, Universe of Blessings Fund and Miss Universe 2013
Gabriela Isler is rapidly becoming as well known for her humanitarian work as she is for being named Miss Universe 2013. During her reign, she traveled to communities in the Philippines devastated by Typhoon Haiyan and launched the Miss Universe Cordaid Fund. These efforts have been recognized by the Vatican and resulted in a public humanitarian blessing from Pope Francis. She has also served as a spokesperson for HIV/AIDS awareness and has spent time on Capitol Hill to support amFAR. In her role as brand ambassador for in/PACT (www.inpactnow.com) and in partnership with Cisneros Media, Isler has reached over 20 million people with the media launch of the Universe of Blessings Fund, a 501c3 organization, which seeks to empower young women and girls and decrease the rates of adolescent pregnancy and maternal mortality which are especially problematic in her native Venezuela.
Deeply concerned about the women and girls victimized by modern slavery, Isler has made several appearances to address the issue and moderated a panel at the United Nations exploring ways NGOs can better collaborate to combat human trafficking. As a member of the Advisory Council for The Resolution Project (http://www.resolutionproject.org/), she recently helped judge a session of Social Venture Challenges held at the United Nations which identifies and mentors young leaders engaged in social entrepreneurship. Aligned with the top priority the migrant issue has received from Pope Francis and the Vatican, she is a global ambassador for the Scalabrini International Migration Network. Isler continues to pursue her career as a model and as a television commentator and has been named as a philanthropic ambassador for Bally, Inc. She also serves as global ambassador for the Arts for Porticus (https://www.porticus.com/en/home) in their shared commitment to El Sistema, a worldwide movement for social change through the arts.
With a degree in Marketing and Business Administration, Isler seeks to also make a difference with her newly-formed company, Soulful Impact, LLC, where she serves as co-chairperson with Michael Hoffman, co-founder of Changing Our World (OMC: NYSE). Soulful Impact motivates its clients to identify the soulful essence of their brand and communicate this quality for optimal social and market impact. Isler’s powerful charisma makes her a singularly effective advocate for some of the world’s most pressing humanitarian initiatives and inspires audiences to affirm their global citizenship and strive to change the world around them.

A Foundation of Family Values: A Vision for Changing the World
Family is the most important part of Gabriela Isler’s life. Raised by a single mother amidst a trio of independent women in her native Venezuela, Gabriela has truly witnessed a universe of blessings, and credits her success to the values instilled in her as a child. Never envisioning a career in front of the camera, she was focused on her studies and graduated with a degree in marketing and business administration. Gabriela’s career began when she was approached by a modeling scout, which led to being named Miss Venezuela. In 2013, she went on to make history by becoming the seventh woman from Venezuela to bring home the Miss Universe title. Rapidly becoming equally well known for her philanthropic efforts, Gabriela received a public humanitarian blessing from Pope Francis for her work in communities in the Philippines devastated by Typhoon Haiyan. Recently, she has launched the Universe of Blessings Fund, a non-profit organization that seeks to empower young women and girls and decrease the rates of adolescent pregnancy and maternal mortality, issues that are especially problematic in her native Venezuela. Deeply concerned about the victims of human trafficking, Gabriela is a signator of the Joint Declaration of Religious Leaders Against Modern Slavery issued by the Global Freedom Network. A powerful role model of leadership and accomplishment, she speaks passionately of her conviction that the potential for young women and girls everywhere should know no boundaries. Gabriela’s charisma and compassion make her a singularly effective advocate for some of the world’s most pressing humanitarian initiatives, and inspires audiences to affirm their global citizenship and strive to make a difference in the world around them.
