Gabrielle Carteris is an actress best known for her role as Andrea Zuckerman in Aaron Spelling’s "Beverly Hills, 90210," one of the longest-running one-hour series in television history. Carteris is also the current president of the trade union SAG-AFTRA.

Born in Scottsdale, Ariz. and raised in Northern California, Carteris grew up loving the arts. She received a scholarship to the San Francisco School of Ballet and, after eight years of dance, began studying acting at the American Conservatory of Theatre in San Francisco. She is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence with a degree in Liberal Arts.

After moving to London to study theater, Carteris worked with teachers both at The London Academy of Music and Arts and The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. She then returned to New York to pursue an acting career.

Since "90210," Carteris has dedicated much of her life to working with youth, including programs for D.A.R.E., the Noxzema Extraordinary Teen Program, M.A.D.D. and Read to Grow.

During her five seasons on "90210," Carteris began a career as a producer, creating a series of specials called "Lifestories." She went on to produce and host her own syndicated talk show, "Gabrielle."

In 2012, Carteris was elected as an executive vice president of SAG-AFTRA, a trade union representing over 100,000 actors and professionals. In 2016, she was elected the official president.
