Gabrielle Monique Union-Wade is an American actress, voice artist, activist, and author. She began her career in the 1990s, appearing on television sitcoms before landing supporting roles in teenage comedic films "She's All That" and "10 Things I Hate About You." Her breakthrough role came with the cheerleading film "Bring It On."

Union's filmography includes leading roles in "The Brothers," "Deliver Us from Eva," and "Think Like a Man" series. She also appeared in "Cadillac Records," "The Perfect Holiday," and had significant roles in "Daddy's Little Girls," "Bad Boys II", "Cradle 2 the Grave", and "Breaking In." On television, Union starred in the CBS medical drama "City of Angels," and was the lead in the BET drama "Being Mary Jane," receiving an NAACP Image Award for her performance. She also co-starred in the crime series "L.A.'s Finest" and appeared in Apple TV+'s "Truth Be Told."

Union has ventured into production and was a judge on the 14th season of "America's Got Talent." She featured in the two-part documentary "Gabrielle Union: My Journey to 50," voiced Meridian Clade in Disney's "Strange World," and appeared in the films "Space Cadet" and "Riff Raff."

As an author, Union has written two memoirs, "We're Going to Need More Wine" and "You Got Anything Stronger?", and three children's books, "Welcome to the Party," "Shady Baby" and "Shady Baby Feels," co-written with her husband Dwayne Wade.

An active advocate for women's health and against violence towards women, Union supports the Rape Treatment Center at UCLA and the Young Survivor Coalition. Recognized for her activism, she was listed in TIME's 100 most influential people in 2020. Additionally, Union serves as a brand ambassador for Neutrogena since 2004 and co-founded "A Step for Success" to support Kelso Elementary School in Los Angeles. She divides her time between Los Angeles and Miami, continuing to inspire and engage audiences through her work in entertainment and advocacy.
