Gail Boylan is a recognized expert in service excellence, clinical operations management, and patient satisfaction. Gail understands what it takes to be a successful CNO and what needs to be done to drive patient and employee satisfaction. She has a proven track record in increasing employee retention and creating cultures where patient care staff and management work cooperatively for the good of the patient.

A dynamic, engaging presenter, as well as a veteran coach, Gail brings more than 35 years of clinical and management experience to Studer Group. As a prior CNO for a health system, RN, and nursing director in various hospital settings, Gail brings practical, hands-on management advice to organizations.

Gail has spoken to literally hundreds of hospitals and affected thousands with her message of bringing excellence back to health care. As passionate about excellent service as she is about creating great places for people to work, Gail gets results!

Prior to joining Studer Group, Gail worked with Quint Studer to bring Baptist Hospital, Inc., to the 99th percentile ranking for five years in a row, placing them in the top one percent of all 1,200 hospitals surveyed nationwide. She has also had years of experience in creating work environments that empowered and attracted nurses.

Other hospitals that have benefited from Gail’s leadership have experienced similar success stories. She helped lead a nursing retention initiative with a very large health system that not only generated over a 12 percent overall reduction in RN turnover in an 18- month period but also launched a new recruitment, retention, and training system for nurses across the organization. Another client experienced increases in inpatient satisfaction scores that started in the low 20th percentile up to almost the 90th percentile in less than two years.
