A straight-talking, humorous, and engaging speaker, trainer, and performance coach who inspires his clients and audiences to "kick up their games" and take action!

Tabbed by his clients as their "strength and conditioning coach," Gary calls upon over 35 years of leadership in sales, marketing, and management to bring humor, inspiration, and calls to action to his life's passion -- to inspire his clients and audiences and help set them up for greater success. He has been creating outstanding, measurable results for his clients since founding Training for Winners in 1995.

Gary's 17 years in the hospitality and meetings business included key sales, marketing, and management positions with Westin Hotels, Fairmont Hotels, Renaissance Hotels, and Park Lane Hotels International. He applied creativity, sweat equity and team leadership skills to pre-open a 1,005 room luxury hotel and build its successful convention, sports, and group business base up from zero.

ESPN Radio, KCBS-San Francisco, and WXYT-Detroit have interviewed Gary on-air regarding selling and customer service topics as they related to major events such as hosting the Super Bowl and the 1989 "Earthquake" World Series in San Francisco. His sales leadership program was featured in SELLING POWER magazine for its creativity. He is an oft-quoted author of dozens of articles for both on-line and print magazines/publications.

Gary's re-booking rate is over 90% primarily because he customizes his work and gets people to take action. He engages his participants. "I want to inspire my audiences to DO something, because they're not just there to HEAR something."

Gary's mission statement challenges both himself and his audiences/clients: "To help people develop tools and uncover talents that, with consistent use and support, will enable them to increase their effectiveness and add value to themselves and others."

Gary earned his bachelor's degree from The School of Hospitality Business at Michigan State University. He was presented with their "Distinguished 75th Anniversary Year Alumnus Award," and is a member of its Appointed Alumni Board of Directors and an Honorary Faculty Member.

Gary was a two-term president for the Northern California Chapter of PCMA (Professional Convention Management Association), a five-year member of ASAE's Associate Member Advisory Committee (with three years on the ASAE Foundation Committee), a member of the CIC (Convention Industry Council) APEX Contracts Panel and Educational Committee.

His clients include hotels, resorts, CVBs/DMOs, convention facilities, associations, companies, public-sector city departments,and businesses of all sizes across the USA.
