Gary Minor has always been surrounded by leaders. He is an Eagle Scout. While completing a Bachelor of Arts at Rhodes College, he held offices in his fraternity, in student government; he served as co-captain of the varsity football cheerleaders, and also served as a student representative to the college's Board of Trustees. He obtained a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University Of Memphis School Of Law.

After a successful career as a trial lawyer, in 1992, Gary founded the 21st Century Leadership Institute, a Performance Coaching Firm that helps others reach their full potential. He has completed two book chapters, one in Conversations on Success, and another in Defining Leadership. He has authored an occasional column in The Williamson Herald. He has earned the designation of International Training Fellow from the Junior Chamber International Training Institute. He is a past officer of his ASTD chapter and a current committee chair of his SHRM chapter. He is also a member of The National Speakers Association, past-president of the Tennessee chapter and former member of the Chapter Leadership Council.

His clients include well known organizations such as The Department of Defense, USDA, Motorola, The Superior Court for the State of California, Verizon of New England, Peterbilt Motors Company, Ardent Health Services, FAA, State of Tennessee, Interstate Distributor Company, Surgical Hospital of Jonesboro, Edward Jones, Books-A-Million, Thomas Nelson Publishers and Kraft Food Ingredients.

He has served as the director of four in-house leadership universities, including The Surgical Hospital of Jonesboro (four years) The City of Franklin TN (three years), and Thomas Nelson Publishers (four years). His interactive programs, including these in-house universities, have involved leadership, management, conflict resolution, process capturing and improvement for long term strategic advantage and changing work cultures to improve teamwork and morale. After all, the only competitive advantage which is truly lasting is your people.

He has coached executives in healthcare, financial services, insurance, local government, manufacturing and publishing, including sales managers, CFO's, VP's of operations, plant managers and a quality assurance engineer. He currently coaches a CFO in manufacturing, three department directors in local government, a CEO of a physical therapy company and a VP of marketing in the music industry.
