Former Head Coach for the University of Missouri Tigers Football Team

Gary Robin Pinkel is a former college football coach who most recently was the head coach for the University of Missouri Tigers football team. From 1991 to 2000, he coached at the University of Toledo, winning a Mid-American Conference championship in 1995. He is the most winning coach in Toledo's history. He is also the most winning coach in the history of Missouri, a position that he held from 2001 to 2015.

Before becoming a head coach, Gary Pinkel served as an assistant at the University of Washington under Don James from 1979 through 1990, the last six of those years as an offensive coordinator.

After more than 40 years in the football coaching profession, former Missouri coach Gary Pinkel decided to retire at the end of the 2015 season. Now, he’s ready to start the next chapter of his professional life at 64 years old. Pinkel took to Twitter on Tuesday to his new venture– motivational speaking for businesses and organizations.
