Emmy Award-Winning Writer, Producer & Director; Known for "The Office" and "Bad Teacher"

Gene Stupnitsky is an American film and television writer and director. He often collaborates with writer and producer Lee Eisenberg. He is known for his work on NBC comedy series "The Office," of which he was a writer from seasons 2 to 6.

He has around 15 episode credits as a writer from his work on "The Office." He co-directed an episode of the fifth season titled "Michael Scott Paper Company" with Eisenberg in 2009. Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg created and executive produced a show for HBO called "Hello Ladies" with Stephen Merchant. The show aired for one season in from 2013 to 2014. Stupnitsky also served as an executive producer of the ABC show "Trophy Wife."

Stupnitsky has also partnered with Eisenberg in film. The duo have written a number of films together, including "Year One," a film that was released in 2009 starring Jack Black and Michael Cera. The duo also co-wrote and produced "Bad Teacher," the comedy film starring Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake.

He directed the upcoming film, "Good Boy," which stars Jacob Tremblay in the lead role. The film is a comedy produced by Seth Rogen.
