George Turkette
Founder of Turchetti's Salumeria
Using old-world Italian techniques and heritage-breed livestock from local farms, George Turkette has brought whole-animal butchery and salumeria to Indianapolis. Called Turchetti's, it is one of the country's only USDA-regulated whole-animal facilities. His products come from animals raised without GMO feed, antibiotics or growth hormones. Turkette aims to one day open his own slaughterhouse so he has the ultimate control on his salumeria business.
