Gilberto Santa Rosa, known as "El Caballero de la Salsa" (The Gentleman of Salsa), is a Puerto Rican singer and bandleader celebrated for his smooth vocals and elegant style in salsa and bolero music. Born in Carolina, Puerto Rico, Santa Rosa began his musical career in the late 1970s, performing with notable salsa orchestras before launching his solo career in the mid-1980s. His unique ability to blend traditional salsa with romantic ballads has made him one of the genre's most enduring and successful artists.

Over the decades, Santa Rosa has released numerous hit albums, including Perspectiva (1991), Expresión (1999), and Auténtico (2004), many of which have topped the Billboard Tropical Albums chart. In 2010, he became the first tropical music artist to achieve a gold certification from the RIAA for a live album with Irrepetible.
