Good Old War is an American indie rock band from Philadelphia

Good Old War is an American indie rock band from Philadelphia, featuring former members of Days Away. The band is comprised of Keith Goodwin, Daniel Schwartz, and Tim Arnold. The band's name comes from the last names of the three members: Good for Goodwin, Old for Arnold and War for Schwartz. The band formed after Days Away (former band of Goodwin and Arnold) went on hiatus. Schwartz had previously been a member of Unlikely Cowboy.

They are currently on Sargent House, which issued their debut album, “Only Way To Be Alone,” in 2008. It was recorded in Los Angeles, with producer Rick Parker. Good Old War was the studio band for Anthony Green's 2009 album “Avalon.”

They released their self-titled, second album in 2010, which peaked at #150 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart. Sargent House then issued their third LP, “Come Back as Rain” in 2012.
