President & CEO at Paragon Space Development Corporation

Grant Anderson, P.E., President and CEO, co-founded Paragon in 1993. In addition to being the President and CEO, Grant was the VP of Engineering and Chief Engineer of the company for many years, responsible for the design and implementation of not only many of Paragon’s technical achievements, but also its processes of engineering rigor in a stepped approach of requirements, design, build, test and delivery. He has held diverse positions at Paragon including Treasurer/Secretary, CFO, Sr. VP of Operations, and Director of Manufacturing.

Grant’s Mission for Paragon is to provide solutions for life support and thermal control for extreme environments. To support that mission he provides expertise in areas such as: • Spacecraft Architecture • Spacecraft Systems Engineering • Life Support Systems Design and Analysis • Establishing and leading technical teams toward well-defined goals and requirements. • Maintaining Expert teams of Engineers and Administrative personnel on goals that demonstrate technical excellence.

Prior to starting Paragon, Mr. Anderson was the Chief Design Engineer for the International Space Station Solar Array Program--the largest solar arrays ever built--while employed at Lockheed Martin, Sunnyvale, CA.

Grant also has: • 30 years of experience in spacecraft systems design, requirements formulation and preliminary and detail hardware design • Supported the foundation of 5 separate companies • Served as Board of Directors, Secretary of Board, and Treasurer of multiple organizations • Achieved Associate Fellow and Deputy Director positions with the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

Grant also holds two degrees from Stanford University in Mechanical Engineering (B.S.) and Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering (M.S.) and is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of California. He also holds diving certificates and a pilot license.

Grant currently lives in Tucson with his wife and three children.
