Former CEO of Yum! Brands, Author, Franchise Expert

Greg Creed is the former CEO of Yum! Brands and Taco Bell, and the author of "R.E.D. Marketing: The Three Ingredients of Leading Brands." During his tenure at Yum! Brands from January 2015 to December 2019, Creed successfully executed the 2016 spinoff of Yum China and transformed the company into a more focused, franchised, and efficient organization. As CEO of Taco Bell starting in early 2011, he led major initiatives including the "Think Outside the Bun" campaign. One of his notable achievements at Taco Bell was the introduction of the Doritos Locos taco in early 2012, a product that led to the sale of over 450 million units and necessitated a 15,000 employee increase due to its success.

Creed's career in the food service industry spans over 40 years, with roles at Long John Silver, KFC, and Pizza Hut. He is highly recognized in his field, having been named the 2014 QUT Alumnus of the Year and receiving an honorary doctorate from Queensland University of Technology in 2019. He has also been awarded Restaurant Business’s Restaurant Leader of the Year and named an “Industry Titan” by the Women’s Foodservice Forum.

Currently, Creed is actively involved in various leadership and advisory roles. He serves as chairman of the human resources committee and a member of the finance committees of the board of directors for the Whirlpool Corporation. He also holds positions on the boards of Aramark Corporation and Delta Air Lines. Additionally, Creed is the founder and CEO of Creed UnCo, a consultancy focusing on branding, franchising, culture, and leadership. He continues to influence the industry through his involvement in high-profile industry events.
