Greg Kaufmann is a program fellow with the Family-Centered Social Policy program and a contributing writer for The Nation.

Previously, he was a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress and the creator and editor of TalkPoverty.org. Through his writing he seeks to increase media coverage of poverty, share new research and solutions, and elevate the voices of people living in poverty.

Melissa Harris-Perry called Kaufmann “one of the most consistent voices on poverty in America.” Kaufmann has spoken at numerous conferences and been a guest on Moyers & Company, PBS, NPR, MSNBC and radio talk shows across the United States. His work has also been featured on CBSNews.com, NPR.org, WashingtonPost.com, and BusinessInsider.com.
