Greg Selkoe is the CEO and owner of streetwear retailer Karmaloop.com. Born and raised in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston, Selkoe has a Masters in Public Policy from the Kennedy School at Harvard University. Selkoe started his career as an Urban Planner for the city of Boston in the Boston Redevelopment Authority working on housing before he started Karmaloop.com. Realizing the need for a global streetwear provider Selkoe started the company in his parents basement. In less than 10 years Karmaloop.com has become the largest online streetwear retailer in the world, with over 200 brands, selling in over 35 countries. Karmaloop receives over 4.5 million unique visitors monthly, has an opt-in email list of 950,000 and is ranked the 1,450th most visited website in the US by Alexa.com; the company is projected to do 65 million dollars in sales in 2009. Karmaloop also launched a wildly popular online video channel called KarmaloopTV.com. The site covers a variety of topics through shows and interview with the key influencers and celebrities at the for front of cutting edge youth culture.
