Academic, Economist & Finance Entrepreneur

Dr. Greg Siourounis has over 25 years experience as a renowned academic, economist, and finance entrepreneur. As an academic, he most recently served as a tenured assistant professor in Economic Theory and Policy at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences. He previously taught at Brown University and University of Peloponnese, and as an occasional teaching assistant at the London Business School, CASS Business School, and Iowa State University. As an entrepreneur, Dr. Siourounis founded Capital Stream Management S.A., a developer of open-ended fund structures and ultra-high frequency trading algorithms in foreign exchange markets. He also helped found Cenobe, a cybersecurity service provider, and EveryPay, a fully licensed payment service provider, regulated by the Bank of Greece. Dr. Siourounis has helped establish EveryPay as one of the top payments providers for marketplaces in Greece, having processed hundreds of millions of transactions. Dr. Siourounis previously served as Global Head of Quantitative Macroeconomic Research at Barclay’s Capital.

Dr. Siourounis served as a board member of several FinTech companies and of FXCM Hellas, EveryPay, and Capital Stream Management S.A. He has received several awards, including the 2005 Young Economist Award from the European Economic Association and the 2008 Austin Robinson Prize from the Royal Economic Society on his academic achievements, along with numerous software trading patents.
