Gregg Halverson is currently President and Chairman of the Board of Black Gold Farms, a fourth generation ag production organization headquartered in Grand Forks ND. Black Gold Farms is a multi-state farm with production, storage and potato packaging units in 12 states stretching from Texas to North Dakota in the Midwest and Florida to Maryland in the East. With over 25,000 acres of potatoes in production annually, Black Gold specializes in potatoes for processing, potato chips and the retail and foodservice markets as well as all segments of the sweet potato industry. Black Gold is the largest grower of fresh chipping potatoes in the world. Black Gold Farms is well-known throughout the world for its leadership in advanced potato handling technology. Halverson has three children, Leah, Director of Marketing; John, COO and Eric, CEO. Gregg also takes great pride in his 7 granddaughters, aged 4 to 12.
