Greg specializes in showing people and businesses how to stimulate innovation, increase performance, and how to create work environments that attract, keep and motivate their workforce. His 24 years of leadership and consulting experience has helped propel him as one of America’s leading authorities on employee retention, motivation and leadership. From 2nd Lieutenant to Lieutenant Colonel, Greg built his career on the front-line as an U.S. Army Officer. He worked for the U.S. Army Surgeon General as the Director of Quality and Strategic Planning. During his tenure he played a major role in the largest organizational transformation in U.S. history. Later on his direct involvement with "Reinventing the Government" efforts spearheaded by the Vice President of the United States helped transform the military into a smaller, less bureaucratic and more customer-focused organization.
Today he is the President of Chart Your Course International, a management-consulting firm located in Atlanta, Georgia. Greg travels internationally and has been spoken to organizations in Singapore, Puerto Rico, Germany, Canada, and Malaysia. Some of his clients include, Yamaha, Rollins Inc., King and Spalding, Ace Hardware, State Farm Insurance Company, AFLAC, Sweetheart Cups, Bio Lab, PacifiCare, Matrix Resources, KMPG, Alltell Corporation, the U.S. Army, Advantage Rent-A-Car, the U.S. Air Force, Chicago Federal Reserve Bank, The Young Presidents Organization, Foundation Health, Wyndham Hotels, Hallmark Cards, Service Corporation International, San Antonio School System and UNISYS.
He is listed in Harvard University's, Profiles in Business and Management: An International Directory of Scholars and Their Research. The Human Resource Executive Magazine selected him as one of the Top-Ten "Rising Stars" in Human Resource Management. He was one of ten people chosen in the nation for this honor.
His other awards include the Legion of Merit from the U.S. Army, the recipient of the Order of Military Medical Merit and the Eagle Scout award. He is listed in the Who's Who of Professional Speaking and holds both a B.S. and M.S. degree. Greg’s advice has appeared in dozens of national and international journals including the Christian Science Monitor, The Alaska Business Journal, New Orleans Business News, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Journal, and other business newspapers including Exame, South America’s largest business magazine.
He is a prolific writer and author. Greg has written over 300 articles and three books. The titles include, The New Leader: Bringing Creativity and Innovation to the Workplace, How to Attract, Keep and Motivate Your Workforce and TNT: Dynamic Ideas to Reward, Energize and Motivate Your Teams. He also is a syndicated newspaper columnist and a regular contributor to many journals and trade magazines.
