Gregory Zuckerman is a Special Writer at The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), a 27-year veteran of the paper and a three-time winner of the Gerald Loeb award -- the highest honor in business journalism. Zuckerman writes about big financial firms, personalities and trades, as well as hedge funds, the energy revolution and other investing and business topics.

In the past, Zuckerman wrote the WSJ's "Heard on the Street" column and covered hedge funds, private equity and the credit markets for the paper.

Zuckerman is the author of numerous books including: "A Shot to Save the World: The Inside Story of the Life-or-Death Race for a COVID-19 Vaccine"; "The Man Who Solved the Market: How Jim Simons Launched the Quant Revolution"; the national bestseller "The Frackers: The Outrageous Inside Story of the New Billionaire Wildcatters"; and “The Greatest Trade Ever: The Behind-the-Scenes Story of How John Paulson Defied Wall Street and Made Financial History,” a New York Times bestseller. With his two sons, he co-wrote "Rising Above: How 11 Athletes Overcame Challenges in their Youth to Become Stars” and "Rising Above: Inspiring Women in Sports," books for young readers and adults that describe the moving and remarkable stories of how various sports stars overcame imposing setbacks in their youth.

Zuckerman joined the WSJ in 1996 after writing about media companies for the New York Post. Previously, he was the managing editor of Mergers & Acquisitions Report, a newsletter published by Investment Dealers' Digest. He is a graduate of Brandeis University.
