Gretchen McCulloch is an internet linguistics expert and the author of 2019 book "Because Internet." McCulloch is the Resident Linguist at Wired, and her work has also been published in Slate, Mental Floss, The Washington Post and The Toast.

She has a podcast, Lingthusiasm, as well as a blog, All Things Linguistic. McColluch says on her website that she lives in Montreal, but "also on the Internet."
