Hailing from Vancouver, Canada, Harry Josh had the desire to work in the fashion world from the time he was 15 years old when he began flipping through the pages of Vogue. Here his passion for the art and glamour of the fashion and beauty industries began. These dreams pushed him into the crafts of hairstyling and coloring and he began his training while still in Canada. After completing his training he looked to New York to pursue this journey.

Once moving to New York, Harry entered the fashion industry as a casting director for the design houses of Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton. His energetic personality made him a natural for making models and everyone he worked with feel at ease in his presence. His keen eye for seeing a model’s outer as well as inner beauty made him a sought-after figure in the industry. Harry continued to work in casting for both Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs for eight years.

As a casting director he was also pulling double duty as a hair stylist and colorist to many of the people he had met in the business. Harry’s unique process of coloring and skilled hand at cutting and styling were enough to encourage many of the top models as well as industry professionals to venture to his walk-up apartment at the time and have their tresses styled by Harry. Word spread quickly within the industry about his practice of working with models out of his apartment and his undeniable talent. His career moved rapidly from that point, and Harry committed to the career of being a professional hair stylist.

Since then he has had an enviable career as a triple threat of being a hair colorist, stylist as well as being one of the best cutters in the business. Harry’s days are filled with doing editorial shoots for top fashion and beauty publications such as Harper’s Bazaar, Numero, British Vogue, GQ, Allure, Teen Vogue and V Magazine to name a few.

Harry’s skills are regularly sought after by clients in both the fashion and beauty worlds for their advertising campaigns. As a result he has worked on numerous International and domestic advertising campaigns for many top clients. They range from Anne Klein, Vera Wang, Ralph Lauren and Bulgari to Maybelline, Max Factor, Ivory and John Frieda – where he is currently the Global Creative Consultant.

Harry Josh has also worked with some of the top photographers in the fashion industry today including Patrick Demarchelier, Annie Leibovitz, Carter Smith, Michael Thompson, Nino Munoz, Miles Aldridge, Stephane Sednoui and Walter Chin amongst others.

Harry’s warm and inviting nature makes him a natural fit with celebrities as well. Many top actresses, musicians and models frequently call on Harry as the only man to trust with their locks. Harry has touched the heads of Rose Byrne, Debra Messing, Jennifer Garner, Gwyneth Paltrow, Amanda Seyfried, Tina Fey, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, Fergie, Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus and the top models Christy Turlington, Helena Christensen, Daria Werbowy, Miranda Kerr and Gisele Bundchen.

Harry is a natural in front of the camera as well as behind the scenes. Because of his natural ability to connect with the audience and give easy-to-follow tips and tricks on how the “everyday woman” can style her hair, he is regularly asked to appear on numerous national and International daytime television programs.
