Actor and Comedian; Known for "The Simpsons" and "Spinal Tap"

Harry Shearer is an actor and comic. He is best known for his role in co-creating and co-starring in the 1984 film "This is Spinal Tap" and for creating and performing more than a dozen characters on Fox's "The Simpsons."

His internationally syndicated weekly radio hour "Le Show" is now in its 29th year of political and media satire.

Shearer has written and directed two feature films, the 2001 comedy "Teddy Bears Picnic" and the 2010 documentary "The Big Uneasy." His most recent book was the comic novel Not Enough Indians. His new TV series "Nixon's the One" just premiered on UK's Sky TV.
