Harry's experience and qualifications

Harry became a part time company director in 1984. Following a successful career in both general and IT management, he started his own business in 1988 and was the driving force behind its development through the recruitment and retention of talented and committed staff. This business grew over the next 20 years to the point where an executive management team was brought in to run the business day-to-day leaving Harry and the other directors in a non- executive, strategic role.

During that period Harry himself was recruited as a director of Queenslanders Credit Union Ltd, and he currently serves on that board as Deputy Chairman.

A Graduate of the University of Queensland, Harry also undertook post-graduate studies in both IT management and business management, finishing up with a PhD in the latter. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Fellow of the Australasian Mutuals Institute and Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.

He also is the Executive-in-Residence at the Business Faculty of the Queensland University of Technology as a Visiting Fellow.

Harry Zaphir knows talent - how to spot it, employ it, and manage it!
