Founder and CEO of DotLab

Heather Bowerman is the founder and CEO of DotLab, which aims to bring women the first noninvasive test for endometriosis.

For her work as a bioengineer and entrepreneur, Bowerman has been recognized as one of the 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs by Goldman Sachs, a Top 35 Global Innovator by the MIT Technology Review, and a World Technology Award Finalist for Health & Medicine.

She was an early employee at Enlitic, a Silicon Valley pioneer in applying machine learning and deep learning to healthcare data, and a management consultant at McKinsey & Company. Prior to that, she was a policy associate in the Office of Science & Technology Policy in the Obama White House. She began her career as a biotechnology investor where she led deals such as the acquisition of a molecular diagnostics company to combat epidemics of H1N1 and H5N1. She was the Harvard Nanotechnology Teaching Fellow and is a graduate of the UC Berkeley College of Engineering and Harvard.
