Heather Mitts is a three time Olympic Gold Medalist and former Women's National Team soccer player. After retiring from soccer in 2013, she serves as sideline reporter for Philadelphia Union games and has become a team ambassador. Since retiring, Heather eco-founded Ceres Platinum Group, which assists female athletes and businesswomen as they transition to a new career.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Heather first touched a soccer ball at age 6 and was instantly hooked. On an athletic scholarship, she attended the University of Florida where she became the Gator's all-time record holder in appearances, starts, and minutes played. Heather helped bring the Gators to their first-ever NCAA Women's Soccer Championship. In 1999, Heather was named a first-team All-American.
After college, she launched herself into professional soccer with huge success, playing with the Philadelphia Charge, Boston Breakers, Philadelphia Independence and the Atlanta Beat of the Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) league.
Mitts was a member of the USA’s 2004, 2008 and 2012 Olympic gold medal teams as well as the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup Team. She played in nine career Olympic matches including a memorable performance in the 2008 gold medal game victory against Brazil. She scored two goals in her career, both game-winners.
Off the field, Heather has appeared in Sports Illustrated, FHM and has been voted ESPN.com's "Hottest Female Athlete." She served as a studio analyst for ABC, ESPN, and ESPN2 during the 2003 FIFA Women's World Cup and was a sideline reporter for several MLS broadcasts in 2005. In addition to soccer, she also was a sideline reporter for college football during 2005 for ESPN. She is the co-owner of D1 sports training facility in Cincinnati and holds a soccer camp for girls every summer in Cincinnati. Heather married NFL quarterback A.J. Feeley on February 13, 2010.
