Helene Tremblay

World Traveler, Photographer, and Author of Families of the World collection.

Hélène Tremblay is a world traveler, photographer, author of the Families of the World Collection and an internationally acclaimed inspirational keynote speaker. Precursor of the idea that it is essential for human evolution to know each other, Helene was a television producer in Paris when, 27 years ago, she started the ambitious journey of presenting Humanity to Humanity. Bringing to every citizen of the world, the information about this Humanity with whom we share the planet, was an utopian idea then.

Helene introduces the world’s residents to one another by living with, photographing, and writing about families who represent the conditions of living of the majority in every country of the world. She has today (2011) shared the life of families in 116 countries.

This unique experience has given Helene Tremblay an original insight into global issues as well as an unprecedented intimate knowledge of Humanity.

Some of her work is published in Families of the World: The Americas and the Caribbean and Families of the World: East Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific. To this day, over 100,000 books have been published and they have been distributed worldwide; Canada, USA, Australia and France.

Her photographic works has been exhibited at the United Nations in New York, at the Cultural Foundation of Abu Dhabi and some of her photographs have traveled in France and Germany.

Her project has received support from agencies such as CIDA and UNICEF, UNFPA, UNESCO and companies such as Olympus and the Body Shop International.
