Former NFL Running Back, 1982 Heisman Trophy Winner & Mental Health Awareness Advocate

Herschel Walker is an American former professional football player, bobsledder, sprinter, and mixed martial artist. He played college football for the University of Georgia, earned consensus All-American honors three times and won the 1982 Heisman Trophy.

Walker began his professional football career with the New Jersey Generals of the United States Football League (USFL), before joining the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). In the NFL, he also played for the Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles, and New York Giants. In 1989, Walker's name became synonymous with the largest trade in league history. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1999. He is commonly referred to as the greatest running back in the history of College Football.

He discusses his dissociative identity disorder and ways to help change the conversation about mental health. He encourages those who struggle with their mental wellbeing to ask for help.
