Holly Powell

Former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, Dance Instructor and Professional

Holly is a native of southwest Missouri. Holly began dance classes at the age of three. In her early years, she trained extensively in jazz, lyrical, tap and ballet. Holly grew up in the competitive dance world where she won many regional and national awards for solo and group performances. By age 11, she represented the United States in an international dance event in Brisbane, Australia. Later in her teens, she enjoyed training in musical theatre, hip-hop, dance team, and gymnastics where she continued to excel in regional, state and national competitions. Holly thrived on the challenge of learning many dance styles at conventions throughout the U.S.

In 2015, she entered FOX TV's So You Think You Can Dance competition where she was featured on the TV show and was among the top 50 finalists in the Las Vegas call-back round. At the age of 18, she auditioned to become a member of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders where she continued development of her HD-ready performance and dance appeal as one of "America's Sweethearts".

Holly's professional career includes many TV appearances and live performances with top music entertainers, including Aretha Franklin, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, and many others. Holly traveled across the U.S., to Mexico, and in the Caribbean to represent the Cowboys and was selected as a member of the elite Show Group. In 2016, she added sparkle to the outside cover of the Cowboys' swimsuit calendar and led the center-stage triangle in the Cowboys Thanksgiving halftime show broadcast on national FOX TV. Today, Holly focuses on performing, teaching and training the high-energy, hard-hitting power style she performed at AT&T Stadium. Holly choreographs solo dances and prepares those auditioning for Professional, Collegiate, and High School dance squads. She works with dance studios to present Master Classes and choreographs competition dances for individuals and groups - in the Midwest and beyond - drawing on her deep experience and training in dance.
