First Female Chief Flight Director at NASA

Holly Ridings is an American mechanical engineer and the first woman to be the chief flight director at NASA. In that position, Ridings is responsible for 32 flight directors overseeing human missions. She works at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.

After graduating from Texas A&M University, where she studied mechanical engineering, Ridings started working at NASA in 1998. In 2005 she was made a flight director. She was lead director for Expedition 16, STS-127 and SpaceX Dragon.
