Hoops of Hope Basketball Ministry was founded by Brent Hoops Fuqua on February 28, 1996 after he had spent five years doing sports ministry with Athletes in Action and on his own. Hoops began Hoops of Hope because he believes that sports is one of the greatest evangelical tools we have at our disposal.

Hoops of Hope Basketball Ministry seeks to Impact Eternity Through Basketball. This is achieved with ball handling shows, exhibition games, basketball camps and clinics. The Ball Show is an exciting mix of trick dribbling, juggling, trick shots, spinning basketballs and is set to music. There is a great deal of audience participation and everyone has a wonderful time. Then an inspirational message is shared, topics include the gospel, sexual abstinence, staying away from drugs and alcohol, among others The show can be done at College and Pro game half-times, Upward Award's Banquets, public and private school assemblies, church or youth groups, FCA or anywhere a quality speaker/entertainer is needed.

The camps and clinics have been done all over the world. The exhibition team plays a regular schedule against local prisons and travels overseas.
