Hope Jahren is an award-winning geochemist and geobiologist, renowned for her expertise in stable isotope analysis to examine fossil forests from the Eocene epoch. Over her distinguished career, she has received numerous accolades, including three Fulbright Awards in 1992, 2003, and 2010. She is also the recipient of the James B. Macelwane Medal in 2005 and holds the honor of being the only woman to have received both of the Young Investigator Medals in the Earth Sciences. Currently, Jahren holds the J. Tuzo Wilson Professorship at the University of Oslo's Centre for Earth Evolution and Dynamics.
