Hope Wiseman is the founder of Mary and Main, a cannibas dispensary in Prince George’s County, Maryland. This opening makes Hope the youngest African American dispensary owner in the nation.

Hope was born and raised in Prince George’s County, Maryland, graduating from the illustrious Spelman College where she received her Bachelor’s in Economics. Hope has always been passionate about serving her community and was known for her exceptional leadership skills in several campus organizations.

Of her many undergraduate accomplishments, Hope cites her time as co-founder of her alma mater’s Habitat for Humanity chapter as some of the most educational and inspiring opportunities she encountered on her road to entrepreneurship. After spending a year at SunTrust as an Equity Institutional Sales Analyst, Hope decided to continue striving for excellence by pursuing her dreams of entrepreneurship. With her financial and banking background, Hope founded Mary and Main (formerly Compassionate Herbal Alternative) on the foundation of her vision to create opportunity for minorities who have been disproportionately affected by the war on drugs.

Wiseman saw the disparities of women and African Americans in the cannabis industry and made it her mission to do something about it. Mary and Main became the idea that was birthed and nurtured with help of Hope’s mother, Dr. Octavia Simkins-Wiseman, and co-founder, Dr. Larry Bryant.

Within 3 years of getting her license for the dispensary and using her background in finance, she was able to get a seed capital to get Mary & Main off the ground. As of now, Hope finds it important to educate all on the need to have more minorities and millennials involved in the cannabis industry. Mary and Main isn't your typical dispensary but a hub for cannabis education and networking.
