Huda Essa is a TEDx Speaker and Author of the culturally authentic and responsive children’s books, "Teach Us Your Name" and "Common Threads: Adam’s Day at the Market."

Essa has positively influenced communities around the nation through her thought-provoking learning opportunities. She utilizes her extensive experience as a Cultural Proficiency Consultant, former Teacher and Multilingual Education Specialist, to support organizations in successfully meeting their goals. Essa provides consulting, keynotes, and interactive learning opportunities for PreK-12 through Higher Education professionals. Their collaborations help them develop practices that promote engagement, productivity, and overall achievement. Her next soon to be published book supports educators in overcoming the limitations of unconscious bias so as to expand the limitless potential of school communities.

Essa is also a lead Series Consultant for Teacher Created Materials’ Untold Stories Program focused on reducing the constraints of implicit biases through equitable, inclusive representation. Furthermore, Essa’s award-winning work extends to supporting students directly, as well as professionals in businesses, corporations, and non-profit organizations. Her dedicated leadership is driven by the fact that cultural proficiency is a worthy, lifelong education benefitting people of all ages, social identities, and careers.
