Hulk Hogan

WWE Hall of Famer & Legendary Professional Wrestler

Hulk Hogan is a retired professional wrestler who gained worldwide recognition after signing with the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE) in December 1983. Hogan headlined a record eight editions of WrestleMania and was a five-time WWF Champion during the WrestleMania era. He was the first wrestler to win consecutive Royal Rumble matches in 1990 and 1991. Hogan's fame extended beyond wrestling, with roles in films like Rocky III, No Holds Barred, Suburban Commando, and television shows like "Hogan Knows Best" and "Thunder in Paradise." Hogan also made his mark in the music industry as the frontman for The Wrestling Boot Band, with their record, Hulk Rules, reaching No. 12 on the Billboard Top Kid Audio chart in 1995.

In 1994, Hogan signed with a rival promotion, World Championship Wrestling (WCW), and won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship six times. This period saw him adopt the villainous persona of "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and lead the popular New World Order (nWo) stable. Hogan returned to the WWF in 2002, winning the Undisputed WWF Championship for his sixth reign before departing in 2003. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005 and again in 2020 as a member of the nWo. Hogan continued to wrestle in Japan, where he had previously won the International Wrestling Grand Prix (IWGP) tournament in 1983 and became the first holder of an early version of the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.

Hogan's extensive career and accomplishments highlight his ability to engage audiences and adapt to different roles and contexts, from wrestling rings to film sets. He has been a major figure in professional wrestling for decades, with a career that spans multiple promotions, countries, and eras. Hogan's iconic catchphrase, "Whatcha gonna do when Hulkamania runs wild on you?", reflects his lasting impact on the sport and his enduring popularity with fans worldwide.
