Hunter Pence is a former Major League Baseball player, broadcasters, gamer, entrepreneur and philanthropist. He resides in San Francisco and Houston.

Hunter’s 14-year MLB career included two World Series Championships and four All-Star appearances, and as a member of the San Francisco Giants. Hunter was drafted by the Houston Astros in 2007 and went on to play for the Philadelphia Phillies (2011-2012), San Francisco Giants (2012-2018, 2020), and the Texas Rangers (2019). Hunter was a four-time Heart and Hustle Award winner, which is voted on by former MLB players and presented annually to an active player who demonstrates a passion for the game of baseball and best embodies the values, spirit, and traditions of the game.

Now in retirement from baseball, Hunter is still very active. He broadcasts for NBC Sports Bay Area on the Giants pre and post game shows, and has been the game analyst for both the Giants as well as on a national Fox Sports game. Hunter also hosts a highly-rated weekly podcast on The Athletic…The Baseball Barista.

Hunter is an avid gamer as well,and streams Magic: The Gathering, and Dungeons & Dragons on Twitch regularly.

In addition to baseball and gaming, Hunter is an entrepreneur within the coffee industry. He is the cofounder of Coral Sword Coffee Shop in Houston, Texas and the cofounder of Pineapple Labs, a lifestyle brand with a curated line of coffee blends. Both coffee ventures are in partnership with his wife, Alexis Pence.

Hunter and Alexis Pence are passionate philanthropists with a special interest in preserving the planet, and programs supporting children. In 2018, the Pences were the recipients of the Inspiration Award presented by the Wender Weis Foundation for Children (WWFC), that is bestowed to an athlete who has used their platform to offer philanthropic support to Bay Area children.
