Imran brings over ten years of experience financing, investing, and founding early stage technology and middle market companies.

Prior to joining OCA Ventures, Imran worked as a mobile strategy and operations analyst for PayPal Mobile where he helped launch PayPal Here in domestic retail and international markets. Additionally, Imran was a private equity associate for JMH Capital where he invested in growth equity and leveraged buyout transactions in healthcare and business services. He began his career as an investment banking analyst for William Blair.

Despite spending significant time on the investment side, Imran is also an entrepreneur and the founder of MouseHouseApp, a seed funded mobile platform for animal research management and the winner of the 2012 Chicago Booth New Venture Challenge. Prior to MouseHouseApp, Imran started and sold a staffing management software platform for shift based healthcare service providers. He has significant experience with enterprise sales and has first hand experience with many of the issues that first time founders face on a daily basis.

Imran completed his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with concentrations in Entrepreneurship and Management and received his BA in Economics from the University of Chicago. He is very active in the startup community, his mosque youth group, and enjoys spending time with his family.
