India Ysabel is an activist, content creator and student from London, UK. She gained an online following through her honest and accessible content on antiracism, intersectional feminism and social justice.

Ysabel found themself in change making spaces from a young age and always felt as though activism was not a choice but a necessity. As a Black person growing up in a majority white city, silence was never an option. Whether it was disrupting the status quo at school, within the local council or elsewhere, Ysabel has never shied away from making noise. In June of 2020, Ysabel started posting her opinions online and thus began the start of something bigger.

In 2020, Ysabel co-founded The Speak Up Space, an online listening and signposting space for survivors of sexual violence and harassment. Ysabel and co-founder Pheebs Jameson noticed a gap in the sexual violence sector and decided to bridge that gap. With a team of compassionate survivors behind the wheel, The Speak Up Space has helped over 600 survivors since it’s conception and is Ysabel’s proudest achievement. Since finding her place in the UK change-making and content creation spaces, Ysabel has consulted with UN Women UK, created content for Monki and Instagram Creators, and appeared on ITV, BBC 5 Live and Sky News.
