Ira Heilveil, Ph.D.  

Autism Expert, Movie Producer, Author

Ira Heilveil, Ph.D. conceptualized and produced the award-winning documentary "Autism in Love." He is a licensed clinical psychologist in three states, and asst. clinical professor of psychiatry at Geffen UCLA School of Medicine, where he teaches medical neuroscience. He is the author of two books and many scholarly publications and presentations. Dr. Heilveil also founded and was the CEO for one of the largest providers of behavioral intervention for those on the autism spectrum, and founded a charitable school for children with autism in Armenia. He also holds a private pilot's license and writes a popular blog dealing with the intersection of psychology and aviation called "Clear for Takeoff."
