Irene Tu is a Chicago-born, LA-based stand-up comedian, actor, and writer. Her first comedy album, "We're Done Now," debuted at #1 on the iTunes comedy charts. Tu has performed at the Netflix Is A Joke comedy festival in the highly coveted "Introducing" showcase. In addition, she was featured on the TV shows "Take My Wife" and "Funny How?" and in the series "Out On Stage: The Series" on Pluto TV. Her show in 2024 was named one of the funniest by the LA Times.

One of Vulture's "Comedians You Should and Will Know in 2019," Tu made her mark in the Bay Area's comedy scene before moving to Los Angeles. She has opened for comedians such as Patton Oswalt, W. Kamau Bell, Gary Gulman, Brian Posehn, Judah Friedlander, and Cameron Esposito. As well as sharing the stage with Taylor Tomlinson. In 2019, Tu toured with Minority Retort, a comedy show featuring comedians of color. Moreover, she performed at the 2020 Southland Comedy Festival and SF Sketchfest 2020.

Tu's comedy is featured on Comedy Central, LOGO, Starz, and VICELAND, along with appearances on "After Midnight" and Hulu. In the live scene, she has performed at various venues in Los Angeles, including the Hollywood Improv and Dynasty Typewriter. Beyond performing, Tu also co-founded and hosted the monthly comedy show "Man Haters," which toured nationally. Her stand-up clips have amassed over 30 million views on social media, further building her recognition in the comedy industry.
