Isha Escribano, M.D., she/her, is an internationally recognized facilitator of workshops and talks for companies and organizations, mainly focused in diversity, equity, inclusion, acceptance, belonging, holistic wellness and personal development.

In the last years she has become an undisputed referent with an extensive experience and expertise in those fields, through her consulting, educational background, as well as through writing, scientific, spiritual and artistic endeavors. Her main goal is to accompany individuals, companies and organizations in their processes of personal transformation, group motivation, stress relief, talent development and self-acceptance, love and empowerment.

Escribano is also a writer and journalist; a medical doctor specialized in psychotherapies; a musician, singer, guitarist and composer; a life coach and spiritual guide; a yoga and meditation teacher; an influencer and a model.

Since 2001, she has been facilitating all sort kind of seminars and activities. She has spoken at TEDx and has been trusted by Skandia México and Colombia; Facebook Oriente, Singapur; HSBC Latin America; Sita International, Pampa Energía, Argentina; Mercado Libre Latin America; Banco Santander Cono Sur; Johnson & Johnson and AbbVie International; Think Thanks, Puerto Dock Sud; and Ministerio de Cultura de la Nación Argentina, among many other organizations and institutions.

She has also participated as an expert panelist in several forums and programs, such as those organized by El Cronista, the Argentine Association of Ethics and Compliance, Pride Connection Argentina, and the international program LIO (Leadership Insight Out).

In 2020 she was appointed member of the “Ponchos Azules”, by the UN Agency for Refugees ACNUR. In April 2021, she was distinguished by the Argentinian NGO Propuesta Mujer, for defending individual freedoms, with her motto "it's not about fitting in; it's about flourishing." In several Argentine cities (such as Rosario, Tandil, Bariloche and Posadas) she was received as “distinguish visitor“, and her artistic activities and concerts with Indra Mantras, of “cultural interest”.

In June 2021, she worked as a co-director in the startup of “proyectx108” a social, cultural and artistic project, together with Argentine photographer Gaby Herbstein, aiming to make visible life stories considered as "dissidents", through photographs, videos, texts and interviews. The idea was born with the intention that the audience could appreciate the unique beauty present in each human being, through art.

Graduated as a medical doctor at the University of Buenos Aires, in 1993, she has more than 25 years of experience in psychotherapies and life-coach private and group sessions; advanced knowledge of Ayurvedic Medicine, one year of assistantship in the Department of Infectious Diseases at Brigham and Women´s Hospital in Boston (1994); and one year of residency in Internal Medicine at Hospital Italiano in Buenos Aires (1995). After her basic clinical training, for more than 30 years she specialized with some the most prestigious coaches and psychotherapists in Buenos Aires.

With over 30 years of in-depth study of vedic sciences, and a Fellowship on Buddhism and Hinduism at the University of Cambridge, England, for the past 25 years she has provided yoga, mantras, meditation, breathing techniques, and ancient Indian philosophy wisdom, conferences and workshops to more than 40 thousand people, mainly in Latin America and the United States. Escribano is an instructor and founder of the Art of Living Foundation in Argentina.

As a journalist and writer, she published more than 500 opinion articles, travel reports, essays and interviews in various graphic media in Argentina and abroad, mainly between 1998 and 2007. Among the interviewed personalities, stand out Deepak Chopra, Brian Weiss, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Carlos Vallés SJ, Ted Turner, Alfred Ford, Craig Newmark, César Pelli, Mario Vargas Llosa, Carlos Monsiváis, Tomás Eloy Martínez, Benjamin Zephaniah, Wangari Maathai and Juan Maldacena.

She also worked as a columnist on radio shows and, for three years, she hosted a tv program dedicated to the universe of health, on CableVisión's P&E channel.

In 2008, she created Indra Mantras - South America's first pop mantras project - with the main objective of popularizing mantras and elevating human values in society through music, vedic knowledge and art.

In the last 20 years, she has provided more than 1000 shows on various stages around the world, in different musical formats; as soloist, trio, quintet and septet.

Escribano´s recordings include seven edited albums:

  • two of Argentine folklore: Por el sendero (2005); and De tierra y viento (2014);
  • five of Indra Mantras: Niranjana (2008); Living Sessions (2011); Everything is love (2013); Siente (2016) and Canta (2019).

In May 2012, in the context of "Planeta Medita", held in the woods of Palermo in Buenos Aires, she gave a concert with Indra Mantras in front of 150,000 people.

On February 25, 2015, on a new anniversary of the birth of George Harrison, the Beatle's official Website, Facebook and Twitter shared the song that Escribano composed as a tribute to Harrison´s life and music, and which gave title to the Indra Mantras' third album: “Everything is love”.

In 2020, with the release of the singles "Amba Ma", "Blackbird" and “A veces, flor”, she began her eighth album.

In January 2021, she released “Emma” with prestigious musician Lito Vitale, in a version for Argentine Public TV.

Escribano is recognized for being a source of inspiration; as well as for her spirituality, sensitivity and courage, general culture, humanity and her keen sense of humor.

She started her gender transition in January 2019. In February 2020, thanks to the Gender Identity Law of the Argentine Republic, she received her new national identity document in the hands of the President of Argentine, Alberto Fernández.

The ceremony of delivery of her rectified ID was held in the Salón de Pueblos Originarios of the Casa Rosada. It had the character of an Official Act and had live coverage that extended beyond the borders of Argentina. In July 2021 she received her rectified Italian passport. It was the first case of rectification of Italian registry data in Argentina.

She lived in Boston and New York (United States), Cambridge (England), Leipzig and Berlin (Germany), Zurich (Switzerland), Stockholm and Västerås (Sweden).

In addition to Spanish, she is fluent in English and has knowledge of Italian, Portuguese, Swedish, German and Sanskrit.
