Issac Aptaker is a producer and writer best known for "Love, Simon" & "This Is Us".

Aptaker emerged as key writer-producer on This Is Us during Season 1, penning multiple episodes including the season finale. He was promoted to executive producer and co-showrunner

A comedy writer Aptaker works under an overall deal at 20th Century Fox TV — the studio behind This Is Us. He previously worked at Verve.

Aptaker got his first professional writing gig on the NBC/20th TV comedy series Friends With Benefits and spent two seasons working on Dan Fogelman’s ABC comedy series The Neighbors with fellow writer Elizabeth Berger. They worked again with Fogelman on Fox’s Grandfathered before Fogelman brought them over to This Is Us. He also contributed to the screenplay for Love, Simon.

Aptaker attended NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.
