J'Den Cox is a world champion freestyle wrestler, Olympic medalist and mental health advocate. One of the top American amateur wrestlers of his generation, Cox consistently competed at the highest level for a decade with outstanding success. He captured three national titles with the NCAA and was a four-time All-American for his team, the University of Missouri Tigers, before going on to win a 2016 Olympic bronze medal in the 86 kg category. Cox is also a two-time world champion and three-time world champion medalist in the 92 kg category. In 2020, his alma mater named him Mizzou Male Athlete of the Decade.

Cox has been vocal about his battle with depression, which he experienced while learning to cope with a partial hearing loss during his career. He knows American Sign Language and in the past, has sought to educate others via weekly instructional videos on his Instagram page.
